According to the official website of the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB), which conducts the Polytechnic Entrance Competitive Examination (PECE) every year, the following documents are required for Jharkhand Polytechnic Admission 2023:

  • Admit Card (JCECEB): This is the hall ticket that you have downloaded and printed after filling out the online application form for PECE 2023. It contains your roll number, name, exam centre and other details. You have to carry it along with a valid photo ID proof on the day of the exam.
  • Result (JCECEB): This is the scorecard that you have downloaded and printed after checking your result of PECE 2023 on the official website. It contains your rank, marks, category and other details. You have to carry it along with your admit card during the counselling process.
  • Allotment Letter (JCECEB): This is the letter that you downloaded and printed after participating in the online counselling process for PECE 2023. It contains your allotted college, branch and other details. You have to carry it along with your result and admit card during the admission process.
  • Matriculation Admit Card: This is the hall ticket that you have received from your school or board for appearing in the 10th class or equivalent examination. It contains your roll number, name, date of birth and other details. You have to carry it along with your original mark sheet and passing certificate of 10th class or equivalent examination during the admission process.
  • Matriculation Mark sheet: This is the mark sheet that you have received from your school or board after passing the 10th class or equivalent examination. It contains your marks, percentage, grade and other details. You have to carry it along with your original admit card and passing certificate of 10th class or equivalent examination during the admission process.
  • Matriculation Passing Certificate: This is the certificate that you have received from your school or board after passing the 10th class or equivalent examination. It contains your name, date of birth, roll number and other details. You have to carry it along with your original admit card and mark sheet of the 10th class or equivalent examination during the admission process.
  • Transfer Certificate / School Leaving Certificate / College Leaving Certificate: This is the certificate that you have received from your last attended school or college after completing your studies there. It contains your name, date of birth, roll number, class, course and other details. You have to carry it along with your original mark sheet and passing certificate of 10th class or equivalent examination during the admission process.
  • Migration Certificate: This is the certificate that you have received from your last attended board or university after completing your studies there. It contains your name, date of birth, roll number, class, course and other details. You have to carry it along with your original mark sheet and passing certificate of 10th class or equivalent examination during the admission process.
  • Character Certificate: This is the certificate that you have received from your last attended school or college after completing your studies there. It contains your name, date of birth, roll number, class, course and other details. It also certifies your conduct and behaviour during your stay there. You have to carry it along with your original mark sheet and passing certificate of 10th class or equivalent examination during the admission process.
  • Passport size photo (8 pcs): These are the recent passport-size photographs of yourself that you have taken on a white background with a clear face and no accessories. You have to paste one photo on each document mentioned above and also carry some extra photos for future use.
  • Aadhar Card: This is the unique identification card issued by the Government of India that contains your name, date of birth, address, biometric and other details. You have to carry it along with a photocopy during the admission process.
  • Residential Certificate: This is the certificate that proves your domicile status in Jharkhand state. It contains your name, date of birth, address and other details. It is issued by a competent authority such as CO/SDO/DC. You have to carry it along with a photocopy during the admission process.
  • Caste Certificate: This is the certificate that proves your category status such as BC-1, BC-2, SC or ST. It contains your name, date of birth, caste and other details. It is issued by a competent authority such as CO/SDO/DC. You have to carry it along with a photocopy during the admission process if you belong to any of these categories.
  • EWS Certificate: This is the certificate that proves your economic status as an Economically Weaker Section (EWS). It contains your name, date of birth, income and other details. It is issued by a competent authority such as CO/SDO/DC. You have to carry it along with a photocopy during the admission process if you belong to the General category and have filled in ‘YES’ in the EWS quota.
  • Medical fitness Certificate: This is the certificate that proves your physical and mental health status. It contains your name, date of birth, height, weight, blood group and other details. It also certifies that you are fit to pursue the polytechnic course. It is issued by a doctor having a govt. registration number. You have to carry it along with a photocopy during the admission process.
  • Anti-Ragging Certificate: This is the certificate that proves that you are aware of the anti-ragging rules and regulations and that you will not indulge in any ragging activities during your polytechnic course. It contains your name, date of birth, roll number and other details. It also contains an undertaking signed by you and your parents or guardians. You have to carry it along with a photocopy during the admission process.
  • Gapping Certificate: This is the certificate that proves that you have taken a gap after matriculation or intermediate and before appearing for the entrance examination. It contains your name, date of birth, gap period and reason for the gap. It is issued by a notary public or gazetted officer. You have to carry it along with a photocopy during the admission process if you fall under this category.

Note: You have to make 2 Xerox copies of every document stated above and submit them along with the original documents during the admission process.

Advice on How to Keep Scan Copies of All the Documents in Your Google Drive

It is always advisable to keep scan copies of all your important documents in your Google Drive or any other cloud storage service for easy access and backup. This way, you can avoid losing or damaging your original documents and also share them with anyone if required.

Here are some steps on how to keep scan copies of all your documents in your Google Drive:

  • Download and install the Google Drive app on your smartphone or tablet from the Google Play Store or App Store.
  • Open the app and sign in with your Google account or create one if you don’t have one already.
  • Tap on the ‘+’ icon at the bottom right corner of the screen and select ‘Scan’.
  • Place your document on a flat surface with good lighting and adjust the camera to capture it clearly.
  • Tap on the shutter button to take a picture of your document or use the volume button as a shortcut.
  • Crop, rotate or adjust the colour of your document if needed and tap on ‘Save’.
  • Repeat the same process for all your documents and save them in a folder named ‘Jharkhand Polytechnic Admission 2023’ or any other name of your choice.
  • To access your scan copies anytime, anywhere, open the Google Drive app or website and go to ‘My Drive’ > ‘Jharkhand Polytechnic Admission 2023’ or any other folder name that you have chosen.

You can also use other apps or websites such as CamScanner, Adobe Scan, Microsoft Office Lens etc. to scan and save your documents in your Google Drive or any other cloud storage service.
