AL-Kabir Polytechnic (popularly known as alkabir polytechnic) was established in the year 1990 in the Steel City Jamsedpur, the industrial heart of Jharkhand. Alkabir Polytechnic College is run by the Kabir Welfare Society, situated in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.

• Workshop: Alkabir Polytechnic have well maintained worksshop for students. All the students in 1st and 2nd semester have to study worshop as a common subjects to gain basic concepts. Later it will only for branches like Mechanical.

• Library: The institute Central Library is known as Sir Syed Library which serves books for both students as wll as educators of the college. The libary is rich of books and well maintained with a  total collection of 15835 books. Two books are issued to a student for only 15 days then after students havce to re issue it. Library also have Reading Room for students where then can read books.
• Canteen: Al-Kabir Polytechnic College has a canteen facility inside the college campus. The canteen is the part and parcel for the students in the college campus. Snacks, tea and brewages are served to students as well as staff members at a subsidized rate in the Canteen. The canteen also has a large floor area for the students to relax.
• Hostel & Mess: Al-Kabir Polytechnic has two separate hostels, each divided into four blocks. Hostel provides a home-like environment for the growth and development of its residents, ensuring at the same time attributes of discipline, care, concern and conscientious disposition. It has accommodation for 150 students in both the hostels and provides accommodation during the operative academic session.
• Conference Room: The AlKabir Polytechnic College has a well-furnished and air-conditioned conference room, which has a projector and internet facility. Conference Rooms are used to organise many singular events. Institute also have seperate confernce room for girls.
